| The Iceman Series was introduced as the Iceman in 1978. Before that it was actually an Artist model that was in with the copies.
This was a very new style of guitar for Ibanez, It was soon to be come known as the Paul Stanley Guitar but it was still the Iceman. Basic construction of the Iceman was originally either solid ash or solid mahogany. The PS10 (Paul Stanley model was mahogany back with a maple top.
The Iceman used the Super 80 pickup or the Triple coil pickup in the IC210. The PS10 used the first distortion pickup that Ibanez made the V2. The difference between the original Iceman and the Iceman II that was released in 1982 is the headstock. The Iceman II has a DT style head stock with 6 tuners in a line instead of the 3 and 3 that the standard Iceman has.
