This line has many models actually the RG550 from the 1990's is part of the Roadstar Family. Here I will concentrate on the RS and RG models before 1986. Basically the RS and RG models were Strat copies that used high tech or sort-of Hot-rodded strats. The upper end models used either the Hardrocker, Prorocker or Edge tremolos depending on the year and the lower end RS and RG models used the Power rocker bridge or accu-cast non tremolo bridge. the Powerocker bridgeused one piviot plate, it worked well as long as the bridge was tightened down on the body. If the bridge was set to float then the tremolo would stay sharp or flat.
The Tremolo was changed to the Edge-Pro in 2003, again the Roadstar's have tremolo's that don't work,
